Elliott E. Burdette
Elliott E. Burdette, principal attorney, has developed a successful firm focused on trust, estate and probate litigation, estate planning, the general representation of small businesses, and real estate. Elliott received his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law. After graduating he spent a couple of years as a partner at a separate firm before forming his own practice.
Licensed by the Supreme Court of the State Bar of Texas, Elliott is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, and a Fellow of the State Bar College of Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Dallas Bar Association, the North Texas Estate Planning Council, and the Dallas Estate Planning Council. He previously served 8 years on the Dallas Subcommittee of the State Bar of Texas Committee for the Unauthorized Practice of Law and has held several leadership positions with the Dallas Bar Association, including Chair of the Membership and Admissions Committee, Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Section, and Chair of the Minority Participation Committee. Elliott has delivered a speech to other Dallas Bar Association attorneys on multiple occasions entitled, “Will Or Trust - Which Is Better For The Client?”
He has attained the designation of Certified Financial Planner and has served on the Board of Trustees for the North Texas Chapter of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America, and currently serves as a trustee for the Dallas Children's Theatre.
Elliott has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, enjoys playing golf, enthusiastically watching the Dallas Mavericks, and traveling to far corners of the world.
