John H Phillips

John H PhillipsJohn has been a Dallas Lawyer since 1976 and, in 1981, received his Board Certification in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. John’s practice is focused on trusts and guardianships, estate planning and probate administration.

John has written and spoken on Texas probate law and issues for the National Business Institute, Inc and has given presentations for the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program as well as varied sections of the Dallas Bar Association and business / church groups.

Additional experience includes John’s involvement as the Trusts and Guardianships instructor in the Southern Methodist University, Legal Assistant Certificate Program from 1981 – 1992 and his role in 1993 as chair of the subcommittee of the Probate Code Committee of the Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section of the State Bar responsible for rewriting the law concerning intestate distribution of community property.

John has been recognized by Super Lawyers Magazine since 2004 and is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.
